Carols by Candlelight Service - 21st of December at 4pm

Carolsby Candlelight

All are warmly invited to our Carols by Candlelight Service, which is due to be held on Sunday, 21st December at 4 pm, at Cairo Street Unitarian Chapel.

Our service will be led by our minister, Rev. Robert Dennis Foreman, and will be a Unitarian take on 9 lessons and Carols. The chapel is adorned with festive cheer and our beautiful nativity crib scene, a gift from a previous congregation member, who created it in memory of his infant son.

We hope that the service will serve as a gentle pause in the busyness of the season, a space for reflection, music, candlelight, and community. Whether Christmas is a joyful time for you, a difficult one, or something in between, you will be warmly welcomed just as you are.

The collection from the service will be donated in full to the Nazareth Orphanage in Mayirikiti, Masaka, Uganda. The orphanage was established by Sister Josephine Namukula and is now managed by one of the many orphans she helped, Andrew Nabasumba. I hope to visit soon with congregation member Helen.

Everyone is welcome; you do not need to be a member to attend. We look forward to welcoming friends old and new to share in this quiet, beautiful beginning to the Christmas season.

Rev. Rob Foreman
